History

Gaelgro Co-Operative Society Ltd, started trading 01/01/2023.

Based in Unit 11C M: TEK Building Armagh Road, Co. Monaghan

10 farms – 7 active members

A newly formed producer organisation, Gaelgro Co-Operative Society was formed due to Brexit as members based in the Republic of Ireland could no longer be part of a Producer Organisation based in Northern Ireland.

Although, our current members are all recognised mushroom growers, the Producer Organisation is recognised for Fruit and Vegetables, therefore open to producers of other fruit and vegetables to join.

As a Producer Organisation members work as a cohort to strive for improvement throughout the producer organisation, on all member farms. All active members currently sit on the Board of Directors, which leads the Organisation, showing the dedication each member has in being active in the development in the group.

The Gaelgro Co-Operative Society team, work alongside each grower to help maximise yields, reduce costs and shorten the supply chain in order to continue to deliver the superior quality produce that we want customers to recognise as synonymous with our members produce.

The benefit of being part of Gaelgro Co-Operative Society ltd is that the Producer Organisation helps, supports, advises, and markets the produce and businesses of our members while sharing their individual achievements as they continue to grow.
